Comic-Con: Our Favorite Superheroes

ComiCon: Here are our Favorite Superheroes

With Comi-Con International in our hhometownof San Diego this week, we thought it fun to share our favorite characters, villains, and heroes. We’re more Hero than villain, but who doesn’t want to be a Stormtrooper!

Devin:

Iron Man: Why? Tony Stark is super technical dude who started his own company and helps fight the bad in this world by using his cunning wit and awesome inventions. His stories are more centered in real life and he works and plays hard.

Matt:

Batman, of course. The superhero who is super without having super-powers. The guy who thinks his way out of anything. The guy who trains others to succeed him as he ages. He’s the definition of badass.

Plus, who can get “Nah-nah-nah-nah-nah-nah-nah-nah BATMAN!!” out of their head!? Even his TV theme song dominates.

Jason:

Superheroes in modern times? Of course, the Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen. She can withstand fire, is friends with dragons, and has made cities bow to her knees with a smirk that says, yes, of course I’m a superhero! She also has a little Goonies, “it’s our time” in her.

But, if you were to challenge me that she’s not a superhero, I’d go with Mr. Incredible’s son, Dash. He can move at great speeds, loves his mom, and is of course, SUPER!

Ben:

I’ll readily admit (much to the horror of my fellow geeks) that I’ll take a sports movie over a superhero movie any day. But if you force me to choose my favorite among the superhero lineup, I’ve got to go with Superman. I mean, he’s selfless to a fault, only uses his powers for good, and oh yeah, he can fly.

Before I rest my case with what is clearly a mic drop:

“Faster than a speeding bullet.
More powerful than a locomotive.
Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.”

Finally, I dare you to not feel something when you listen to this.

Bridget:

My favorite superhero was Spiderman. Now, I know this sounds like a lame reason, but he does have the best theme song. Superman has no song, Batman has gadgets, but Spiderman has the best jingle. And I’d have a hard time calling myself a marketer if I didn’t have a soft spot for a jingle.

“Spiderman, Spiderman Does whatever a spider can
Spins a web any size Catches thieves just like flies
Look out, here comes the Spiderman.”

Who’s your favorite character or superhero?
